The Mahindra XUV is a new baby from the Mahindra and Mahindra group. Known for their rugged and sturdy cars, especially utility vehicles, this new XUV 500 is the latest addition to the already existing 5 utility vehicles  manufactured by Mahindra. This new car is a leap beyond the other Mahindra cars. This is the first time they have tried modernising the look and the feel of the car. It looks closer to the contemporary looks and designs doing the rounds with SUVs these days.

The XUV 500 has a strong engine that delivers a powerful mileage with the help of the 2.2 litre mHawk diesel engine. The engine is powered at 140 bhp of power and a supreme torque of 330 Nm. It is a hefty and powerful engine, something suitable for the big beater XUV. Though frugal, the mileage delivered is beyond par at 12 Kms per litre in the city and 14 Kms per litre on highways with its 6 speed manual transmission. It offers a speed of 85 Kms per hour with the 4 All-Wheel Drive (AWD).This enables the car to take load of any terrain for an easy drive. Considering the huge and heavy size, the XUV 500 has a great pick up and offers a good acceleration despite its heavy construction as a monocoque body.

The Mahindra XUV 500 is has been given the look of the Cheetah. It has a strong but rounded and shapely front with rounded grilles that make it look stunning from the straight bare front. The doors are like paws, pudgy and bulgy from the sides. At the same time the car is long enough to not make it look too circular. The bonnet has a unique long and curvy shape. It is a monocoque car which adds to its aesthetics. Overall, this car, despite being a rough car made for tough handling looks chic and elegant in its category. It is available in colours like Tuscan red, opulent purple, satin white, moon dust silver, arctic blue, volcano black and dolphin grey offering itself as a good choice to all, men and women alike.

The interiors of the car will conclude your feeling of a car worth the money. Not only does it have classic and chic interiors, the dashboard is a humongous lot made from wood. This adds a lot of style and panache to the vehicle. To top it all, the head room and leg room offered, especially for the first two rows is ample. The last benchers may feel the heat of their heads being cramped, but nothing worth worrying about. The air-conditioning and audio vents are well placed to give all the passengers some good comfort. The car cabin is quiet, as the engine used is soundless adding to the solitude and peace in the car cabin.

Thus, this new Mahindra XUV 500 is definitely a deal not worth missing. There are no apparent criticisms against it so far. However, a good dose of review reading on may help before you make the final payment.
